They grow fast. Too fast.

One minute, you’re rocking them at midnight. The next, you’re lighting a candle and wondering how a whole year has already gone by.

Birthdays are more than just a party—they’re a celebration of growth, laughter, and love. And while decorations get tossed and cake gets eaten, photos are what last.
That’s where I come in.

At Little Magnolia Studio, we capture birthday magic—especially those first few milestones that moms never want to forget.

Why Birthday Photos Matter

There are plenty of reasons to skip birthday photos.
You’re busy. They’re wiggly. It seems easier to just take a few snapshots at home.

But here’s the thing…
You’ll never get this version of your child back again.
That gap-toothed grin. Those dimples. The way they clap when someone says “yay!”

These things disappear quietly over time, unless you press pause and preserve them.

Professional birthday sessions are your chance to freeze this beautiful, messy, wonderful age in time.

What to Expect: A Birthday Session With Heart

Whether it’s their very first birthday or their third, your child’s session is designed to be:
Simple: You bring the baby and the cake. I’ll take care of the rest.

Joyful: We make it playful, not posed.

Quick: Perfect for short attention spans (and busy moms).

Memorable: From cake smashes to custom sets, I tailor each session to your child’s age, interests, and personality.

Most birthday sessions last about 20–30 minutes. You’ll receive 3 beautifully edited digital images (with the option to purchase more, of course) and a whole lot of love captured forever.

Pro Tip: Let your little one try a mini cupcake at home before the shoot so they’re not overwhelmed during the session!

Which Birthdays Should You Capture?

The First Birthday
The big one! This is by far the most popular—and for good reason. It’s the first year you get to say, “We made it!”
Many families choose a cake smash, a keepsake outfit, or even bring in a special item (like a favorite stuffed animal or heirloom blanket).

The Second Birthday
This one’s underrated but so full of personality!
At two, they’re expressive, curious, and totally themselves. These sessions are full of giggles, motion, and adorable chaos.

The Third Birthday
By three, kids know it’s their day. These sessions can include favorite toys, dress-up clothes, or a sweet custom setup.
They’re still little—but they’re big enough to remember this. And you’ll be glad you caught that in-between age.

Tips for a Gorgeous Birthday Session

Outfit Ideas: Soft pastels, earthy tones, or timeless neutrals photograph beautifully. Avoid busy patterns or bold logos.
Bring a Favorite: Whether it’s a blanket, doll, or toy car, including one “loved thing” helps them feel comfortable and keeps the memories personal.
Don’t Stress: If your child doesn’t smile perfectly, that’s okay. My job is to capture who they really are, not a version they don’t recognize.
