An Elegant Spring Cake Smash
Spring Cake Smash Photos
Cake smash sessions usually involve bright colors and lots of props, especially spring cake smash sessions. But this mom had another idea in mind and I must say, I think this needs to be the new thing. Jayme wanted simple elegance for her daughter’s first birthday photos and she brought all the props she needed.
We started with the flower garland and slowly added just a few things. Not much! Mom had a long string of pearls that we used to help get little M feeling extra fancy. She brought along her favorite stuffed bunny and we played peek-a-boo to have some fun and get some smiles.
Getting The Shots
Little M was all about being mobile and crawling around, but you’d never know from the photos! Mom was a great help in getting her back to the photo set quickly and we made a game of it so she didn’t end up frustrated and crying.
When it was time for cake, she was a little apprehensive at first, but she warmed up to it after she got her first taste of the delicious frosting. Once she had her fill of cake, we wrapped it up and called it a day.
I don’t know about you, but I am in love with the simple elegance of this photoshoot. I love everything from the white color theme to the little flowers in the background and everything in between.
